As humans we experience many challenges throughout our lives. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, loss, stress, trauma, relationship issues, regret, and life transitions may result from the challenges in your life. These experiences can be very overwhelming, but you are not alone. I respect and value your individuality and incorporate diversity, ensuring your therapy sessions are a safe space for you to express your difficulties without judgement. It is important for me to create connection, understanding, compassion, empathy and self-growth in your therapeutic experience. My goal is to guide you to identify your strengths, and develop the tools and coping strategies you require to address life's challenges.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, client-centred, strength-based and collaborative. The eclectic approach allows me to integrate various therapeutic techniques that best address your individualized needs. I incorporate Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, The Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mindfulness.
I have more than six years of professional experience in the field of psychology, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have a BA in Sociology from York University and an Autism and Behavioural Science graduate certificate from Seneca College. My educational background and experience has contributed to my understanding of mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders. Please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to support you on your journey.
